Indrek is a multi-talented person who has been nominated as the best sales advisor for several years. How did a rock star end up with Mercedes-Benz and what is his secret to being one of the best salesman? 

How did you end up with Mercedes-Benz?

Before joining Silberauto (now Veho), I used to work at Toyota. In the summer of 2013, Silberauto was building a new team and I was offered a position. At first, when meeting with the recruiters, I wasn’t sure if Mercedes-Benz was the brand for me. In October 2013, I made my decision and took the offer. In my first year, I sold the most cars out of everybody and realized that it indeed is my place and my brand. I love communicating with the clients and presenting them to several solutions that Mercedes-Benz offers.

Which is your favorite model?

As I have four sons, I am obviously a practical person. I love the V-Class, which is the best model on the market in my opinion and I also have persuaded several clients to switch from other models to it purely by sharing my experience.

When it comes to other models, my heart belongs to hybrid and electric cars, especially the brand new EQE.

What do you like to do in your free time?

Free time – what's that? I share my time between work, music, sport and family. In addition to work, I love making music and performing, which I have been doing for more than 30 years and I don’t see it changing any time soon. My favorite sport is road cycling, because it gives me a good serotonin boost before or after work and also relieves stress.

Of course, I also try to spend as much time as possible with my family, but as I’m very active at and outside of work, then I feel like there’s always room for improvement when family time is considered. My wife is probably a better judge in that question 😊

What do you think – is a person born to be a good salesman or can it be learned?

Everything is learnable, but in sales you must have courage, willpower, and excellent communication skills. So, to answer the question, yes, but the people who are radiant and have good problem-solving skills definitely have an advantage.
