Trust in Veho people and daily successes accelerate Trucks’ sales and marketing

Kasperi Koistinen, Head of Sales and Marketing Trucks, joined Veho the first time in 2007. He had heard about an open position from a familiar Veho Service Manager while Kasperi was still in the army.

At first, Kasperi worked in Tampere as a heavy vehicle body repairer, and then, simultaneously with his automotive engineering studies, he worked as commercial vehicle supervisor. In 2011, he left Veho for seven years and continued his career at Scania. “In 2018, I was offered a job at Veho as Regional Director, and the position included sales management which was new to me. The opportunity was too attractive to miss. Since then, I’ve worked in commercial vehicles as Service Director and Head of Customer Service and Parts, and now, since February, I have new responsibilities as Head of Sales and Marketing Trucks, Finland.”

When asked about the best parts of working at Veho, Kasperi doesn’t need any time to think.

“People. The Vehovians are the heart and core of Veho, the best part of any situation. Even challenging moments are lighter with the team we have. The company provides great opportunities, and you get to see the industry from the front row and be an active part of the transition that’s going on in the automotive business. Great people, a strong brand, and excellent products; it doesn’t get any better than this,” he sums.

Kasperi believes that the transportation business and commercial vehicles have a bright future. “Trucks and transportation will be needed also in the years to come. In Finland, we have long distances, and vehicles and services will continue to be needed in the future. Sustainability and propulsion will bring interesting new things and changes also from the commercial vehicles point of view.”

Hundreds of successes every day

Responsibility, equality, accountability, and teamwork are the success factors in the Veho leadership, says Kasperi.

“The biggest motivation I get is seeing that I can help a team or an individual succeed and contribute to their well-being. That's where the best reward comes from.”

He notes that small achievements and successes in daily operations are the salt of the business. “We have hundreds of successful encounters with customers and team achievements every day at Group level if we just pay attention. Those moments should be enjoyed. “I encourage everyone to be proud of working with our amazing team at Veho. Respect for each other and working together are valuable assets in our daily routines.”

Kasperi has a strong background in ice hockey. Nowadays Kasperi enjoys playing padel or tennis or swimming in icy lakes. “I the winter, must get to ice swim two to three times a week, it is a great way to relax.
